What’s new 7/27/06
Hi everyone!
I know it has been a while since I filled you in on my current events, but I promise it won’t be so long next time.
Ok...where do I start? After the Olympia last year I really enjoyed myself during the Holiday’s and off season. Twinlab kept me busy traveling and I did a bunch of photo shoots as well so I couldn’t “enjoy myself” too much with food and stuff, but I am probably better off since it was not too difficult for me to get back on the pre-contest plan for 2006.
After much consideration I decided I would carefully chose the shows to enter for the season and sit a few out- unlike 2005 where I was on a “Figure Tour”. I chose the Colorado Pro show as a must do. It was a new show and was getting some hype as being well run, since Shawn Ray was the promoter. Plus, it was a good reason to go to Colorado - what a nice state. Denver was awesome! Being that the Pittsburgh Pro show was only the week before, I figured it would be foolish not to do it. I have that “Kill two birds with one stone” mentality. Pittsburgh is a short flight form me in NYC and the show was a good experience for me in 05.
I placed 4th at both of those shows. Not too shabby. :) Do I think I deserved a higher placing at one or both of these shows? Maybe. Will I complain here on my site to my friends/members? No way. It is what it is. And frankly, as saccharine sweet as it sounds- it is never a bad thing to place in the top 5 of an IFBB Pro show. I am happy to just be in the mix.
After Colorado, I was pleasantly informed that I qualified for the Olympia due to the fact that the top 3 at the show were previously qualified. That totally took some pressure off, since that is what we are usually all striving for. I contemplated sitting out the rest of the season until the O.
I was full swing in planning mode for the after party that I throw for the Team Universe weekend/NY Pro Figure show when I decide to jump in the show. I did not do it last year, and to be perfectly honest with you I was jumping out of my skin when I went to watch. It is my hometown, and there is just something about having your friends and family seeing you compete in your town that makes it extra special. I ended up having like 30 something people come down- it was a little bit of a scene- but oh well- you only live once :).
I placed 3rd. What can I say? Do I feel I should have placed higher? More so than I did at the first 2 shows. Am I upset? Not really. I have gotten almost 70 emails to date telling me how good I looked and where I should have placed. That is enough for me. To hear the fans respond felt very good. I do think the top 5 in NY all looked good.
The after party was a success. It was a great time and I really enjoyed it so much more than last year since I was competing and really appreciated having everyone around to party after the show. My good friend, Dina Al Sabah came to NY to help guest host- looking as hot as ever. My good friend Rob Lopez DJ’ed the event and did an amazing job. So many people turned out, I can’t even begin to start listing names. It is safe to assume that I will most probably be hosting the party again next year, regardless if I am competing at the show or not.
Since the NY show was in mid July, I only have 2 weeks of play time before I buckle down and get serious for the O in September. It is amazing how much you can cram in to 2 weeks if you put your mind to it! I have been enjoying all of my favorite things, with all of my favorite people. You take a lot for granted when you don’t have to spend most of your life on a strict plan, where deprivation is an understatement. It is funny though...as much as I enjoy being “normal” right now, I miss my structured days that I have when I am preparing for a show. I actually like my pre contest food and my strict regime. I truly love competing and am blessed to have the support that I do. My family, friends and fans are the best! I appreciate all the support- thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Oh...I decided to do that new Palm Beach Pro Open on October 7th (a week after the Olympia) - I gotta kill the 2 birds again! Plus I think Florida is a great place to end the season and live it up with some friends after the show.
Stay tuned....I’ll keep you posted.
Love,
Tara

What's up Kids??
I don't ask for much, but I am asking for something from my loyal
fans. Please vote for me in the current Muscle & Fitness
online poll. Here is the link.. http://www.muscleandfitness.com/survey/111 Since it's a stripper poll, if I win, I will give everyone who voted
for me a private lapdance. Ok, maybe I can't do that, but I will
be very appreciative.
Figure Nationals and Team Universe After
Party.
That's right. Nobody throws a party like us NYers do. If you are
in NYC on August 6th, you will not want to miss my party. http://www.tarascottiafterparty.com If you are competing that weekend, please email me and I will put
you on the guest list.
I just started my prep for the Olympia. I don't have any predictions,
and I don't know where I will place in an amazing line up like that.
But I do have one statement, I will present the best look of my
career on that stage.
XOXOXOX

Champion
I can now add IFBB Pro Figure Champion to my Resume. That's
right, on my final competition of the spring, I won the 2005 Toronto
Pro Figure Championships. What a feeling. I also qualified
for the Olympia for the 2nd time in 5 weeks. I am on such a high
right now. It's my first full year as a pro and I am very please
with my placings. My goal this year was to qualify for the Olympia.
A long term goal was to win an IFBB Pro Competition at some point
before I leave the sport for good. To do it in the first year is
icing on the cake. I can not believe I will be competing in the
Olympia. But now that I did get the opportunity, I have to come
to that show in the best condition of my career. Thank you again
to my team who gets me ready. Franky my nutritionist, Gerry my Trainer,
Isaac at Lift Studios, Dominic for everything else.
Thank you everyone for the great emails, it means a lot to me to
sit and read all the encouraging letters you guys send me. I hope
to see a lot of people at the Olympia expo at the Twinlab
both.
Fear Factor
After the Toronto Pro, I flew to California to film an episode of
Fear Factor. It was a special edition siblings edition, I did
it with my brother. It was one of the greatest experiences of my
life. I had such a good time. I can't give any details on what happened,
but I will tell you it will be a blast to watch. I did things I
never thought I would see myself doing. I will keep you updated
when it airs right here on the site.
What's Next
I am not sure what is next. There are a few shows before the
Olympia. I am conflicted as to rest up and concentrate on the Olympia,
or get out there and do a little more competing. I love to compete
and I am very comfortable when I am in pre contest mode. So check
back and I will update you as to what I decide shortly.
Check out the updates in the Members area the first week of July.
It's getting hot in there!!! I also added more pics in my free gallery.

Vegas Baby.
That's right, were going to Vegas. And the stage is the Miss Figure
Olympia.
But lets not jump ahead, because I have a lot to report.
Bahamas
First off, I want to Thank Twinlab for being the best supplement
company in the World.
They asked me to do an appearance in the Bahamas April 28th to May
2nd. Of course I wanted to go, but I also had to take into consideration
that I had 2 competitions right after the Bahamas trip. And I am
sure most of you know how stressful the last week of contest prep
can be. So I explained to Twinlab the deal and they totally hooked
it up. I had a private suite on the beach, complete with a kitchen.
And it was walking distance to where my appearances where. It was
also walking distance to a brand new state of the art Bally's Gym.
So life was perfect. I was still able to do my normal routines of
cooking my own foods the last week of prep. I ran every morning
on the beach for my cardio. I did my appearances in the afternoon,
my work outs at night, cooked myself a nice dinner, and was in bed
early every night. It was actually better then being home because
there was no outside distractions. Thank you Twinlab for taking
care of me.
Pittsburgh
My goal for Pittsburgh was Top 6. I knew there was some good competition
at this show, and with it being only my 3rd pro show
to date, I was shooting for a top 6 finish. However I would not
have been upset with anything lower. But we have to set goals and
top 6 was mine.

I arrived in Pittsburgh Friday morning nice and relaxed. Started
putting the final touches of my color on. Pre-judging was Friday
night. I was very happy with my call outs. I was in the first call
outs of both rounds. But I knew it would be close. In my head I
had Mary Lado 1st and Shannon 2nd. Between the rest of the call
outs and just observing the physiques, I knew that 3rd to 10th can
go any direction. Jennifer Searless, Christine Wan and myself were
wandering around the backstage area during pre judging and we happened
to find a big dressing room that was upstairs and out of the way
from everyone
else. Not knowing if it was OK to use the room, we basically just hijacked
the room and made it our little private room. We had a blast and
we took a lot of pics in there. It's not that we were trying to
hide it from everyone else, but lets just say we didn't go out of
our way to announce to everyone that we found a private dressing
room. By Saturday night at the finals, our gig was up and some of
the other girls found our secret hiding spot. It was all good though
and we welcomed everyone in. The Finals went very smooth. I took
4th place behind Mary, Shannon, and Latisha. I was very happy with
my placing. It was my best placing as a pro, and my goal of top
6 was achieved. I was looking forward to the next week in Atlanta.
Atlanta
Next up was the Eastern Seaboard Championships and the Obusforme
Pro Figure invitational. I was extremely excited when I got one
of the 10 invites to the show from Ty "Ropeman" Felder.
Let me just say that Ropeman and the people from Obusforme really
took care of us Pro figure girls. All expenses were paid.
We were treated like first class competitors and it felt very nice.
My goal for this show was top 3. I knew Shannon was my biggest concern
at this show and I was secretly hoping she would come miss her mark
at this show. I even considered finding out her address in North
Carolina and secretly sending her Pepperoni Pizza's to her house
so she would be tempted to maybe give in and eat away. However,
Shannon had other ideas, and she showed up in Atlanta in better
condition then she did the week before and took her 1st victory
as a pro. Congratulations Shannon. You nailed it.
I placed 2nd and reached my goal of top 3. But more important, I
qualified for the Figure Olympia in October. It was a dream come
true. I am counting the days because I will step on that stage in
the best condition of my life, believe that...
Since there was only 10 of us Pro girls in Atlanta, we all hung
out backstage together and had a great time together. After the
show, Zena and her man, Christine Wan, Myself and my man, and Gregg
Henry from GNC all needed to find somewhere to eat because the hotel
restaurants were not serving anymore as it was almost midnight.
The only place in town with decent food was the strip club Cheetah's.
The food was decent and we had a blast. None of the girls in the
place even came near our table much to the dismay of the men at
our table. And I am pretty sure the reason was that Zena, Christine
and Myself were the hottest babes in the place. And these girls
were very jealous of us. That's OK with us. We paid the bill and
went home to sleep.
What's Next
Eat Eat Eat. Oh wait, I have 2 more shows coming up. I guess eating
and partying is going to have to wait a couple more weeks. California
Pro on May 28th, and Toronto Pro on June 4th. 4 shows in 5 weeks.
Never again. But it is what it is, and as weird as this sounds,
I am looking forward to the 2 weeks of craziness.
Thank you so much to my friend Frank Sepe who featured me in his
new Magazine AXL. The feature came out perfect.
Next report will be after Toronto, lets hope I can keep the momentum.
Thank you everyone for the emails, it means so much. Thank
you to all the members of my site and supporting me in my dream.
Special thanks to Franky Diciccio for knowing my body better then
me and peaking me right on time 2 weeks in a row. 2 more to go.
A very special thanks To my baby Dominic for making everything happen
for me.

What's New 03/23/05
My season has begun. After sitting back and just being a
spectator for the Arnold and the San Fran Pro, I am now ready to
jump out of my skin. Monica
looked so good at both shows, it just gave me crazy inspiration.
I have been thinking about the 2005 season the minute I got off
stage at the GNC in October 2004. I am definitely way ahead of schedule
for this season. I think I lost 17%, so I am almost there - LOL.
This is my first full season as a Pro, so I am going to make the
most of it.
I am scheduled to compete in the Pittsburgh Pro, Eastern Seaboard
Invitational, California Pro, and Toronto Pro. 5 Shows in
4 weeks. I know its a bit much, but I been away from the stage for
almost 7 months, and this will make up for lost time. Special
thanks to Ty "ROPEMAN" Felder for the invite to the Eastern Seaboard.
Should be a great show.
Anyone in the Bahamas? I hope so. The week before the Pittsburgh
Pro, I will be in the Bahamas doing a special appearance for Twinlab. I
will be doing an in store appearance Friday and Saturday at Nutrition
for Life located in Nassau. I will also be doing a seminar and an
Ab training session at Bally's (upstairs from Nutrition for Life).
If you are interested in stopping by, please email
me for details.
Check out the new updates in my members
area. I got some really hot suff in there. I have a new
gallery of artistic nudes with Bill Dobbins, and I am adding about
6 more galleries from my infamous Brian Moss shoot this week. Videos
are being added as well. OK, enough of the tacky plugs.
Please check out www.ultimatefitmodel.com.
We went live this week. It will be a great opportunity for athletes
and fitness models to get some exposure. Please check out the site,
and email me if you have any questions about it.
This is going to be a great year. Thank you everyone for the
emails, it means a lot to me. Good luck to everyone competing this
year, should be a great year with all the new figure shows
added.
Good luck to Alti B at the Emerald cup as well. She is looking off
the hook.

2005 is here and I am ready to make some noise this year. And so
far it started out pretty good. ABS, the special edition Oxygen
magazine dedicated to abs is out on newsstands now. I have a 6 page
interview and pictorial in it. I want to thank Reg Bradford for
doing the piece, it's a really good read. Also Isaac from Lift
Studios did a interview with me and it is in the current edition
of NPC NEWS MAG. Great article and some good pics as well. Thanks
Isaac.
I have made my final decisions on what shows I will be competing
in. My first show of the year will be the Pittsburgh Pro on May
6th-7th. I already started my contest prep for that show and I will
come in to that show in the best shape of my life. 3 weeks
later I will be doing the California Pro on May 27th and 28th, and
1 week after that I will do the Toronto Pro on June 4th. That's
right, 3 shows back to back. After these 3 shows, I will
make my decision for the rest of the year. But that's it for right
now.
I will be at the Arnold classic working the Twinlab booth all 3
days at the expo. I am looking forward to working the expo, this
is my favorite show of the year to attend. Please stop by and say
hello. I look forward to talking to fans and anyone who wants to
chat.
Also, I am happy to report I have a new sponsorship with a great
company called Purely Healthy International and Ultimate Fit Women.
This is a mainstream health and wellness organization based upon
positive motivation and success through fitness awareness. Please
check out their website at www.purelyhealthy.com.
Also, www.ultimatefitwomen.com,
an innovative outlet for women is set to launch in early spring
2005. Please check back here for updates on the official
launch date.
Last but not least, thank you to everybody who writes and says the
most positive things. I try to get back to everyone, so it might
take time for a response, but I really do appreciate it. Keep them
coming. Special thanks to everyone who joined the members area of
this site. I just added a bunch of galleries, and I am adding a
bunch more in the next few days. Galleries from Gene X and more
from the sexy photo shoot with Brian Moss will be included
in this update.

Its been a while since my last update, so bare with me, I
have lots to tell.
Right off the bat we have updated the site. Isaac just keeps making
this site better and better. We have added a Dear Tara Page. I will
answer questions from the fans. Please keep sending me questions,
and I will continue to answer them. Some of them
will get posted in the Dear Tara page.
The free gallery
page has been updated with all new pictures and a video clip.
In my members area, we just added a bunch of photo galleries and
some video footage from my recent photo shoots. We will be adding
new video frequently, and I have some great video clips from
my recent Hawaii trip coming shortly as well.
Thanks to NPC News and Isaac Hinds for doing an interview with
me for the November/December issue.
As most of you already know the IFBB has expanded it's Figure schedule
for 2005. There are many new shows on the schedule and I am very
excited about this. As of right now I plan to make the Pittsburgh
Pro Figure my first show of the year. This is not definite, but
it is most likely. I will post my full schedule for 2005 in my appearances
page.
Last but not least, I just want everyone to know what an amazing
year 2004 was for me.
So much has happened to me including earning my pro card and finishing
5th in my pro debut. Thank you to all my fans who continue to support
me by joining my members area and writing me the nicest emails.
It really means a lot to me. I can't wait for the 2005 season to
begin. I just hope 2005 will be as exciting as 2004 was for me.
Happy Holidays!!

Just got home from the GNC Show of Strength. I am happy to report
I placed 9th. This was a very tough line up and it is only my second
pro show. I got a lot of positive feedback from the judges and I
can't wait to start the 2005 season. But right now I am going to
relax and take a much needed break. I want to thank all the fans
for the emails and the support. It really means a lot to me. Keep
them coming. It was so nice to meet so many of the fans at the Twinlab
booth Saturday and Sunday at the expo. Please stop by and see me
at the Twinlab booth at the Olympia. I will be there all day Friday
and Saturday.
I will also be in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 5th and 6th for a
GNC store opening, representing Twinlab. So if anyone is in Hawaii,
please stop by and hang out. It should be lots of fun.
You can email me
for more details on the store location.
I accomplished all my goals in 2004 that I set out to do. I have
a new set of goals for 2005. 1 of them is to qualify for the Olympia.
Also check out the member's
area, I have put in photo's from my photo shoot with Brian Moss.
This was by far the sexiest photo shoot to date. This is only part
of the Brian Moss shoots. More to come!!
And last but not least, I just signed with a world famous publicity
firm named HYPE INC.
They represent some pretty big celebrities. You can see the website
at www.allabouthype.com
Ok ok, I know I am not a big celebrity yet, but maybe I am on my
way... Stay tuned!
